Psalms 46 Below are my notes. I. STATEMENT OF CONFIDENCE - 1-3. A. Why anchor with God? 1. Refuge - hiding place - harbor - shelter. 2. Strength - not “will give me strength.” 3. Help in trouble “a very present help.”

II. WE SHOULD ANCHOR WITH THE GOD IN CHANGE A. The mindfulness of the nearness of God. “God is in the midst of her.” 1. Though the earth be moved - God is not moved. 2. Though the mountains be shaken - God is never shaken. 3. Though all may fall - God stands. B. BEING AWARE of the power of God. vs. 6 “He uttered His voice the earth melted β€œHe called creation into existence

III. PROOF TO HAVE CONFIDENCE IN HIM 8-11. A. “The works of the Lord in the earth.” 1. Judgment - Great Tribulation “What desolations he hath made in the earth.” 2. Establishing His Kingdom in peace.

PSALM 47 FROM MY NOTES: THE SPIRITUAL BATTLE CRY We all like to worship, the deepest cravings of our soul true healthy worshiping. How exciting is it to worship the one who will fight the battles for us!!! Israel was happy with the battles that the Lord was winning for them at this time.

Today we are called into a spiritual battle against the forces of evil. I PRAISE GOD BEFORE THE BATTLE The call to worship 1. The quantity and the quality – everyone, shout with triumph Reasons to worship A) The Most B) He is reverenced and feared C) He is a great king a sovereign ruler D) He is ruler over all the earth E) What he does for his people F) For giving us his Son G) For giving us a helper the Holy Spirit

II PRAISE GOD DURING THE BATTLE The call to move forward 1. Have Jesus ahead of you not trailing along the sidelines and you call tag when it gets hard. 2. Have faith in the midst of the battle, you are there to glorify him not yourself. lll PRAISE GOD AT THE END OF THE BATTLE:

PSALMS 48 THE CALL TO WORSHIP

Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, 2beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King.

I find it hard to keep an intense zeal for God, moving forward with my relationship with Christ.

As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness.

As servants of God, we should be finding a way to spread the good news to others. That’s why the church should not be silent in the area it has been placed, a place for people to worship God.
