Talking donkeys? Paid prophets? What’s going on here? Balaam and his donkey (Numbers 22) help us to think about facing temptations and living faithfully as we start a new series tonight. In the series, we’ll look at this man who teetered between listening to the Lord and listening to the world around him and see the ways we struggle with the same.
What is our mission today as a church and as individuals? How does it affect what we do in our daily lives?
God calls us to unity, but the Church struggles to follow that calling. What does being one who seeks to live according to the “bond of peace” really look like for us?
What are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper meant to do? How do we make sense of them? Are they mere empty rituals? Things we can do to save ourselves? Something else?
What should we believe about God’s Word? What does God’s Word tell us about itself? How should we approach it if people have used God’s Word to hurt us? Those are questions we look at tonight.
Do I see myself as I am? Do I see how God sees me? Tonight on Steadfast, we look at those important questions and how God turns the “Fall from Grace” on its head.
Why did God create me? How does understanding who God is help us to better understand His love for us? As we begin a new series looking at core beliefs the Bible teaches, we start at the one who starts everything: God.
Jesus tells us He will return and judge the world. What does that really mean? Should we be afraid? As we wrap up “the Future is Here,” Pastor Tim will help us consider these questions.
What does waiting for Jesus’s return look like? Are we just trying to “make it through” until the end? This week we turn to Matthew 25:14-30, looking at the “Parable of the Talents” and what it says to us about what God calls us to do with our lives right now.
