Our past can feel like the wrong ingredients for a quality life recipe. But the case of the Apostle Paul shows God thinks otherwise. He does not waste our past but uses it as He sends us out as agents of the same transformation we have received.
Sometimes we become so fixed on where we want to go that we cannot see how we are defeating ourselves. Jonah runs in the opposite direction when God sends him to Nineveh, raising questions we often avoid: Do we understand who God is, who we are, and how He sees the people we would rather leave behind?
This week, Pastor Tim takes us to the book of Jonah for a consideration of God’s vision of ministry.
What is our responsibility to share the only true door into Salvation with the people around us?
Our prayer as a church is that we would show God’s love to our community and the world. We are here because Jesus loves us and served us even though he was the one worthy of being served (Mark 10:45). We want to follow his example by serving others. While we are a young church, Little Hills believes it is important we are faithful in supporting Gospel efforts around the world as we grow.
